What snowboarding means to me:

FUN! A community of amazing people who just want to have a good time by going down a hill on a board. It means waking up early in the morning to catch the freshies first, and staying up late at night at friends backyard jib sessions. It doesn’t matter how good you are, just how much you are enjoying the sport, and that will make you learn.

 

Why I love it:

Pushing myself to learn new things, believing in doing. The people I have met snowboarding are my life long soul maties (ahem, milhouse). I even love the commute to the hills rocking out to beats with friends getting pumped to get to the hill. Theres nothing like being ontop of a mountain on a blue bird day, overlooking the rockies, thinking to myself the only thing that brought me here was my snowboard.

 

Females in snowboarding today:

Females today must be on steroids because the shit they do is unreal! The women in snowboarding I look up to most right now are Darrah Reid-McLean and Jess Kimura, those girls absolutely kill it. Female snowboarding has progressed exponentially over the last several years and i love it! It is almost hard to imagine what the future brings to women and their snowboards. Girls that snowboard are a new breed, at all girl comps it is the most chill, happy, encouraging atmosphere. This is why girl comps like KINKY rail jam, billabong flaunt it and girl companies like TITS DEEP are so freeeeekin awesome!
